First I have to say that I can't claim any right to the pictures on this page, they came in my email and I'm not sure who took them. How ever they show very clearly what happens to these horses, so I felt the need to place them here for educational purposes. Be warned these photo's are graphic!!!

The first photo is of a mare and foal at the slaughter house, waiting their turn to be slaughtered. This right here is a perfect example of the horses that end up at the slaughter house, young and healthy not old and sick.

The killing process, there has to be a more humane way!!!

This horse is in the process of being slughtered, she has been hit in the head already and they will contine this until she's knocked senseless and can no longer fight them!

I don't think I need to add anything to this one!

So you see why I work so hard to save these horses, why these guys are rescues, why it's so important to be extremely careful when you sell your horse. Not just in making sure you don't sell to a slaughter buyer yourself, yes they will answer adds in the paper! But also why you need to be certian the person your selling to won't sell to the slaughter buyer! And so on.....
